We’ll have the ever-popular Spin Wheel, free classes for all ages at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and fascinating displays of fossils, meteorites and rocks collected during our field trips.
Have you ever wanted to see the inside of a 34-million-year-old geode? Our geode saw will be running, so you can choose a geode and watch it being cut open right before your eyes!
There will also be fabulous raffle items such as rocks, minerals and fossils available to win. Items cut and polished in our workshop, along with beautiful jewelry created in our classes, will also be available for purchase.
You may have played BINGO, but we have our own special version that will keep you entertained while learning about rocks!
Join one of our free classes at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.:
- Pebble bowl using UV resin.
- A lovely beaded bracelet.
- Bookmarks and necklaces made by shaping copper wire.
- A refrigerator magnet designed with beads and tiny rock shards.
These are just a small sample of the creative activities we offer in our members-only classes, which take place twice each month.
Our Pet Rock painting table will also be open all day, so you can create your very own adorable pet rock. Don’t worry, we’ll have plenty of ideas to inspire you!
