The Education Center
Our education center offers a wide variety of hands-on weekly classes designed to inspire. From the fundamentals of jewelry-making and lapidary techniques to the specialized craft of silversmithing, there is a class for every interest level. All classes are taught by TVGMS members, providing you with experienced instruction in a supportive environment.

The Workshop
The heart of The Rock Shop is our fully functional workshop. This is the perfect place to bring your "field trip finds" and transform them into beautiful, finished specimens. Members enjoy access to our fully equipped, state-of-the-art lapidary and silversmithing workshop, including numerous saws for cutting, as well as grinding and polishing equipment.

The workshop is more than just machinery; it is a collaborative space. Several of our most experienced members are present in the shop most days, eager to provide hands-on assistance and mentorship for your lapidary projects. Furthermore, once your stones are polished, you can work alongside local silversmiths who attend our sessions regularly to help set those finished gemstones into stunning jewelry pieces.

Please note: To ensure a safe and productive workshop environment for everyone, members are required to complete an orientation and safety class before utilizing the workshop equipment..
