Members of the Tehachapi Valley Gem and Mineral Society can take advantage of the fully equipped workshop the club maintains. The workshop is open Mondays from 10 AM -12 Noon and Thursdays 12 to 2 PM.
Members can cut rocks on any of the numerous saws. Grinding and polishing equipment is available to make rough rocks into finish gemstones. Several members with long experience are there most days to assist and help with lapidary projects. Finished gemstones can be set into jewelry pieces with the help of local silversmiths who attend most workshop sessions.
